Besides the fact that it is downright delicious. it is addictive! with a rich, buttery taste, wonderful aroma and velvety texture. You really have to try it for yourself.
Buttery with a slight saltiness, this versatile loaf is great for any sandwich.
Chin chin is a delicious fried snack that is similar to Scandinavian klenat. Think of it as a fried cookie or mini biscuits. It is bite-sized, crunchy, golden brown in color, and sweet in flavor. You will often find it served on plates as a snack/starter at parties. Chin chin is also popular amongst kids too because of its size and sweetness.
Puff-puffs (Bofrot) a light and airy doughnut fried to a golden-brown color made of dough. Crisp and crunchy fried dough balls with a soft pillowy center. Like the French beignet, puff-puffs can be rolled in any spice or flavoring such as cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg.

What better way to strengthen and build our communities than through food? We offer our clients a full scope of breads, cakes, and baked goods. We focus on keeping things fresh, simple and delicious! We care about what you put into your body, so we bake without preservatives; we pick wholesome and healthy ingredients without compromising on the taste or the environment.
We have been serving our community in Montreal for over 27 years. During these 27 plus years our main goal has been Quality and our Clients. Onua Bakery is now located in Ottawa/ Gatineau area; serving both retail and wholesale customers in the local African and Caribbean communities in Gatineau/Ottawa, Cornwall and Montreal area. The business is operating a storefront as well as a specializing in event catering.
This dream started in Mama’s Kitchen 27 years ago Mama began baking in her Kitchen.
